Hot Italian Model

This is the latest website that I have had the pleasure of being part of the development team for. I took the lead on this project, lots of hours were involved in getting this one out the door in time, 70 hours in 7 days, that’s about 9 days work in a week.

I had to employ some third-party API’s, Google maps for the store locator and YouTube videos in a couple of places.

The site also incorporates the standard social bookmarking functionality, twitter feed, papervision and competition entry forms.

The site is here but I don’t think it will be up for that long.

Amazing innovations at Adobe

This week I have seen 2 amazing bits of technologies come from the Advanced Technologies Lab at Adobe Systems.
The bad thing is you cant get your hands on them yet unless you know someone.

I really want to get my hands on both of these, Zoetrope would be so useful is so many different ways and the video Manipulation will be fun at the start but I’m sure it will have some commercial uses.

Interactive Video Object Manipulation: just amazing video tracking and manipulation

Papervision mashed up with Yahoo maps

This mashes up a paperervision globe with the geo codes from yahoo maps.
All the data is obtained via a call to yahoo service that sends back some xml, then a point is put on the map.

I created this from a tutorial on the adobe site it was in Flex but I ported it over to Flash.

You can search by country, place, zip code, post code, anything that yahoo will accept and it might find it.
